On June 16th, 2016, the Stó:lō Business Association held its first meeting, to discuss the development of the Association, and to gather thoughts, input and feedback from the Aboriginal business community.
Louis De Jaeger, owner of Bravo Restaurant and Lounge, and current SCF Board Member and Treasurer, and Shirley Hardman, Senior Advisor of Indigenous Affairs at the University of the Fraser Valley, led the Indigenous business owners and entrepreneurs in activities to define key words for the Vision and Mission of the Stó:lō Business Association, identifying priority focuses for the Association, and discussing the levels of Membership.
Shirley Hardman was also presented with the Community Futures Volunteer of the Year Award. See more information on this award here.
